State Street Parking Guide and Permit
Regular vehicle traffic and parking are NOT permitted on State Street. Private vehicles are allowed on State Street in limited circumstances, either when transporting persons with disabilities, or for deliveries and maintenance when displaying a State Street Auto Permit. Permits are provided at no cost by the City for these uses. See link above for Parking Guide and permit application. Permits may be applied for at the City of Madison Parking & Transportation office, 216 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Rm. 100, M-F 7:30 am - 4:30 pm. 266-4761. Bring a copy of your business license. PLEASE NOTE: Regulations specific to parking in the 300-600 blocks of State St. may be changing due to completion of construction in these blocks. Updated information will be posted when available.
