Pregnancy Testing and Counseling
- Pregnancy Tests are available at all Family Planning Clinics
- Women with a positive pregnancy test will be provided counseling including referrals to local obstetrical services, WIC nutritional program, and the local TDHS Medicaid Office and issued the required TDHS Proof of Pregnancy Form.
- Women with a negative pregnancy test will be offered family panning services and supplies.
Problem Pregnancy Counseling
Problem Pregnancy Counseling at SPCAA includes information on all alternatives including referrals for:
- Early Prenatal Care
- Medicaid
- Adoption
- Encouragement for Teen/Parent Communication
- Abortions (however, our clinics neither promote nor perform abortions)

New CHIP Perinatal Coverage
Client Eligibility
CHIP perinatal eligibility includes the unborn children of pregnant women who:
- Have a household income greater than 185 percent FPL and at or below 200 percent FPL.
- Have a household income at or below 200 percent FPL but do not qualify for Medicaid because of immigration status.
Women who are U.S. citizens or qualified immigrants with household income at or below 185 percent FPL may be eligible for coverage under Medicaid's pregnant women program

Visit Your Student Coupon
