Downtown Madison welcomes one and all to kick off the season at the Downtown Holiday Open House!

Discover unique shopping, featured restaurants, and museums, arts and activities for kids and families. Enjoy special offers and complimentary refreshments at participating businesses and organizations on State Street and the Capitol Square, plus kid-friendly activities and offers. Jump on the Holiday Trolley for free rides on State Street and the Capitol Square.

The free Holiday Trolley continues Saturdays, December 1, 8, 15 and 22, running from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm along with carolers strolling State Street and the Square Saturdays from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. The Visitor Center (452 State St.) is open daily, or stop by the Downtown Information Table at Overture Center (201 State St.) Saturdays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

The Downtown Holiday Open House is brought to you by Madison's Central Business Improvement District (BID) with support from the Greater State Street Business Association (GSSBA), IsthmusParents.com, and 94.9 WOLX.

*For patrons with disabilities for whom the trolley may not be accessible, the BID Ambassadors staffing the trolley will provide a free Metro Transit day pass plus a gift bag. Per Metro Transit: "All fixed-routes are accessible to people with disabilities. Service animals are allowed on Metro buses to assist people with disabilities. ADA-eligible riders may travel on fixed-route buses with a personal care attendant at no additional charge (the rider pays and the attendant rides for free). An ADA eligibility card must be presented when boarding." The free trolley is a service of Madison's Central Business Improvement District (BID).
