About the new day and time:
The Downtown Family Halloween was previously held on the last Friday of October, as Madison schools had traditionally had that day off. However, the Madison schools schedule has changed, and there are no days off in late October. After careful consideration, Wed. Oct. 29 was selected as a day that our partner organizations could present activities, and which did not conflict with other downtown events (Badger home football game, Halloween Freakfest setup), community events (Halloween at the Zoo), or neighborhood trick-or-treating. We hope the 3:00-6:00 pm time frame allows both pre-school and school-age children and families to participate. We hope you can join us!
These Halloween family fun events are presented by Madison's Central Business Improvement District (BID)
, and the Greater State Street Business Association.
