Classic cars will be on display on State Street from the State Capitol to Library Mall

This family-friendly event offers a perfect day to come downtown and take a stroll after the Farmers Market on the Square to see a wonderful array of vintage cars, talk to the owners, grab a bite to eat, and shop for a last-minute Mother's Day gift.

Past shows have featured vintage cars ranging from a 1934 Brewster Town Car to a red-and-white 1932 Packard Boattail Roadster, a 1941 Lincoln Continental Convertible, a 1955 Bel Air Convertible official "Indy" Pace Car, a 1958 Corvette Rag/Hard Top, a 1957 Chevy Stretch Limo and a 1969 Plymouth Road Runner.

A 1952 Chevy Deluxe was featured in Cars on State 2009.

The 2010 show will feature many cars from downtown Madison business owners, including a 1966 Ford Mustang (Cas Salas, Triangle Market), a 1989 Ford Thunderbird (Don Beauchamp, Digital Outpost - University Book Store), a 1968 Chevy Camaro (Joe Salas, Triangle Market), a 1961 Chrysler Imperial (Larry Lichte, Attorney/Empire Realty Co.), a 1967 Chevy Corvette (Jack Garver, Fanny Garver Gallery), and a 1965 Chevy Nova (Andy Muzi, Yellow Jersey).

Cars on State is organized by the Greater State Street Business Association with support from Madison's Central Business Improvement District (BID).
